Coffee Americano at El Cafferin

Everyone knows Angelo

He used to have a large restaurant “am großen Kreisel”, then a pizzeria right next to the train station with a view of the ferry. Angelo is no longer 40 (according to a newspaper report, he is already 70, which you definitely can’t tell by looking at him) and so he has now decided to take things a little easier in a cozy café right on the main shopping street. How this is supposed to work with opening hours from seven to seven is not entirely clear to me.

Angelo won’t get rich in this gem, where an espresso costs 1.50. But perhaps he has simply created his own personal refuge here, where his old friends and guests gather. Who needs a living room when you have a cozy café like this? El Cafferin is definitely worth a visit. As I said, you can get really good coffee here every day from 7 am to 7 pm and, if you’re lucky, a crispy croissant.

Address: Via La Biena 91, directly opposite the Banco BPM, Laveno Mombello.
