Today I would like to introduce you to a small dog play area in Cittiglio.
As I’m not allowed to run anywhere off the lead in Italy, my owner and I have been looking for nice, fenced-in dog playgrounds for me around Lake Maggiore. Sometimes I meet friends there too!

Because I live nearby, you can usually meet me at Dog Park Sti in Cittiglio. But I’m usually alone here, the playground is a bit hidden.
But from there you can also take a nice long walk all the way to Laveno Mombello on a paved road without any incline (I don’t like cobblestones and my mistress doesn’t like mud). You can find a short report here.

Beware, the path is also marked as a cycle path and they are sometimes quite fast.
Of course, I have to walk on a lead again on this path.
Parking is available both at the dog meadow in Cittiglio and at the start/end point in Laveno Mombello.

The playground itself is actually just a fenced-in meadow.
There is no water or poop bags here.
But the meadow is usually in the shade.

I don’t really like the big“Laveno loop“.
Too steep and too much cobblestones!

Little by little, my mistress and I will also test the other dog playgrounds on Lake Maggiore and report on what it’s like there.
For example, the large dog meadow in Varese.
I’ve already been there once on a Sunday afternoon.
There were at least 20 dogs there.
It was great, I could really run around with the others.

The fact that dogs are still welcome everywhere around Lake Maggiore is also due to the fact that there is practically no evidence of their droppings.
