Loretta Ribaudo Carter was born in Australia, where she worked as an artist for many years. In 2018, she moved to Italy with her husband Jim, where she is inspired by the mountains and the sea. Artistically, she can be categorized between cubist, figurative, contemporary, naive, abstract and a bit of pop art. Her paintings are definitely an explosion of color that will brighten up any room.
I had the pleasure of visiting Loretta in her studio on Lake Como at the beginning of 2025. Loretta’s lively nature is reflected in her work: “I am an emotional person. I am affected by what happens in the world and this has an impact on my style, which can vary from phase to phase.” I like Loretta’s zest for life and that’s why I want to present her works here.
